Anthony Lynch

Anthony started in the industry as an instructor, moved on to manager and then opened his own gym, as well as a very successful personal training business. He is a Free motion master coach and a celebrity personal trainer among other things.

 

While looking to recruit staff for his gym he found that the choice was poor and that the trainers coming through the personal training courses were missing something. Seeing this as a problem he set up his own training academy, delivering fitness instructor, personal training and continuous professional development courses.

 

However, he felt that the old way of becoming a fitness instructor/personal trainer was out-dated. Students needed to attend weekly classes and study text-heavy books to get accredited. He knew that this wasn’t how people learned today; they were more likely to view a YouTube clip on their phone to understand intricate movements.

 

And so, Anthony, along with Brendan Kavanagh founded Edufit. They worked with an award-winning eLearning agency and accrediting bodies to create a revolutionary multi-device platform with engaging, interactive video content. Edufit is now transforming the fitness industry, allowing trainers to deliver high-quality training to a wider audience.

Brendan achieved his first MBO at the age of 24 in the Retail Petroleum Sector and went on to grow 4 more companies in the Oil and Gas area,including Pump Services Limited, Schlumberger RPS, Melvin Petroleum Systems and RPS. He has worked with and held board positions with Schlumberger PLC, Torex PLC and Tokheim.

 

Brendan’s current goal is to grow Olive Media into a global brand that empowers world businesses through engagement, innovation, technology and design. This will be achieved through the production of interactive digital media platforms including online training, development programmes, promotional video and app creation.

Stu Gatherum

Technical Director

Stuart has over 15 years of experience in the fitness industry. He has worked in the UK and abroad, enjoying time at a high profile health club in Canada following university.

 

He has studied a degree in sport and exercise sciences as well as specialising in Athletic Development through further study.

 

Having worked as an instructor and an employed personal trainer, Stuart entered the world of self-employment as a freelance PT, before moving into the education sector.

 

Following employment on a permanent and freelance basis with various national training providers Stuart founded his own fitness education company T2 Fitness, to offer a high level of service and education to the next generation of PTs. T2 Fitness has established relationships with key national and international partners in both education delivery as well as content creation with Stuart acting as a Master Trainer and product specialist.

Ben Camara

Creative Director

Currently studying for his Masters in Human Behaviourial Change, Ben Camara has developed his health coaching and mentoring systems through vast experience working with some of the most time-restricted, stressed and yet extremely successful people in the world. The Ben Camara Health Mentoring Programme was developed.

 

With Men’s Health awarding Ben UK trainer of the year for his remarkable 10 week transformation of a client. Fast forward and Ben currently owns 2 Private personal training studios in the heart of London and looks after the health of some of the worlds most recognizable faces from Music, film, politics and business.

Dylan Kavanagh

Dylan began with the Olive Group in 2010 as Office Manager, after studying Business & Enterprise in IADT. In the 5 years Dylan has been with Olive he has served his time as Operations Manager, Sales Executive and Business Development Manager.

 

Dylan is passionate about improving and empowering client’s businesses around the world. This, coupled with his love for sport, health and fitness made Dylan the perfect match for the team.

 

Dylan loves to push boundaries and this is apparent in his completion of physical challenges such as marathons and triathlons, but also in the business world by helping his clients and their business reach new levels. It’s this willingness to push himself and never give up that makes him an invaluable asset to any company.

Robbie Glynn

Business Development Manager

Robbie graduated from DIT in 2015 with a degree in Marketing. He is Edufit’s most recent team member. Robbie has previously worked in tech recruitment, specialising in matching top sales/marketing professionals with some of the most innovative tech companies across the US and Europe. Through this role he gained great experience working with startup tech companies in the E-Learning, Big Data and FinTech sectors.

 

Robbie is a competitive team player and a sports enthusiast, with a particular passion for rugby, which he has played competitively from the age of 15. Some of his proudest sporting achievements include being a member of the Connacht A Team and most recently a member of St.Marys RFC All-Ireland winning side.

Garreth has been involved with Olive Group for 5 years in a number of years in a multitude of roles in Dublin, Australia and now the USA. Throughout his time, Garreth has worked as a Production Manager, Business Development Manager and Operations Manager.

 

Garreth’s love for sport and fitness has driven him to become part of the Edufit USA team. Garreth has a passion for sport and has played Rugby since he was a teenager and when is isn’t on the field you will find him Rowing, training for Marathons or in the gym.

Tayo Adewon

Sales Manager

Tayo Adewon Joined Olive Media Group Sept. 1st as the VP of Marketing & Sales for NBT, creating, building, and expanding relationships with coaches all across the U.S. Recent student athlete from the University of New Mexico. Lettered 2 years at UNM playing FS (Free Safety) and A special teams regular on Kick Off, Kick Return, and Punt Block.

 

Last College Game appeared in:

New Mexico Bowl: UNM vs Arizona Dec. 19th 2015.

 

Tayo Adewon grew up in Frisco Texas, where he was an all round athlete running Track, playing basketball and his first love football, playing football in Texas is a Religion. Tayo is Team player, Competitive spirit like no other, and a very passionate person.

 

 

Adam Downer

Marketing Manager

Adam graduated from Dublin City University in 2015 with a degree in Marketing, Innovation and Technology. Through his studies, Adam gained an in depth understanding of the latest marketing techniques, a core grounding in science and technology, developed skills such as web design and social media marketing and gained an understanding in new product development.

 

Adam also has several years of work experience in sales, customer service and marketing. His love for all things tech and entrepreneurial brought him from Dublin to San Francisco. He is also a keen sports enthusiast with a particular passion for soccer and personal fitness.
